5 Tips On Why A First Time Home Buyer Uses A Real Estate Agent

By Mortgage-Guy On July 6, 2010 Under FHA Loans, Mortgage:Purchase

Most people want their own home whether they’re newly married, single, or married for many years.  It gives a sense of peace and welcoming to have a piece of property you can call your own.  First time home buyers should use a real estate broker to buy their first home.  Here are 5 tips why you should use one.

A first time home buyer is usually married but there are single females and males who also like owning their own homes.  They’re usually between 24 and 34 and some are even younger than 24.  They all have dreams of owning their own homes and having a secure place to live.  Rather than living in an apartment in the city they like the “burbs” or suburbs.  The suburbs are the most popular location with a small town spots coming in second.

New home buyers take about 12 weeks and a lot of houses before they find one that suits them, they even look at foreclosure homes as their first time buy for a home.  After looking by themselves they usually end up going to a real estate agent to find the perfect house.  So how does using a real estate company help a first time home buyer?  Read on…

The very first thing you need to know about real estate agents is they represent your best interest.  That’s not to say there aren’t the quickie agents out there looking for a fast sell because there are but once you look around you’ll find one the suits you to a T.  They have first time home buyer programs that suit your needs.

Real estate agents may be pitted against one another but most want to help you find your dream house.  Sometime it may seems like they’re traipsing you all over the countryside but they do know your house it out there somewhere.  You just have to keep looking.

Since you’re the only one who knows what your dream house looks like they have to envision your dream by what you tell them.  They deal in facts about houses and the best ones can almost read your mind on the house you’re looking for and find it fast.  Most of them have tons of experience but you will find an occasional beginner.  We all have to start somewhere, right?

For the first time home buyer finding the best real estate agent is the hardest part of buying a house. Most agents are honest, hardworking, and love their jobs.  They want to find you your dream house.  Not to mention the stress they reduce by doing most of the work for you.  They know the right questions to ask to find out exactly what type of house you’re looking for and where it can be found.

They do all the work on negotiations and their advice is usually right on the money.  They take care of all the paper work, title searches, and provide guidance and support. They also find first time buyer loans with banks you may not be familiar with.  Some will also educate you about the real estate market in case you’re looking for houses to buy for investments.

Using a real estate agent to buy your first home is usually a smart move.  A first time home buyer will get all the support they need while looking for that perfect house.

I hope you don’t mind if I save your post for future reference. I have been lurking on a few real estate blogs lately and that’s the most thoughtful and accurate analysis of the situation that I have read to date. Thanks.
